Who can receive a spring Covid-19 booster vaccination
The spring booster will be available to:
- those aged 75 years and over
- residents in care homes for older people
- everyone aged 5 years or over with a weakened immune system
Where can you receive your vaccination?
You will be offered an appointment between April and June 2023. Those at highest risk will be contacted first. You will be invited to have your booster around 6 months from your last dose but you can have it from 3 months. If you are turning 75 years of age between April and June, you will be contacted for vaccination during the campaign; you do not have to wait for your birthday.
Where can I receive my vaccination?
You can choose to get vaccinated at either:
- A pharmacy
- Your GP practice
- A pop-up walk-in clinic
Care home residents may receive their vaccination at their place of residence.
How can I arrange to have my vaccination?
You will be invited for your booster, your GP may offer you the vaccine or you can book using the NHS app. You can also find your nearest walk-in vaccination site from the nhs.uk website or via our walk-in page which lists the locations of pop-up clinics.
